On Being Alive

I have had several thoughts for the last few days about being alive.

I think that life is something that we should all cherish, and not take for granted.  It is really a miracle that we are all here, and that we live each day.  Life could really be taken from us in an instant, and we need to always remember that.
However, six years and two days ago, my life was hanging in the balance.  I got in a terrible accident, but, thanks to our wonderful Heavenly Father, my life was spared.  It is kind of weird to think that it really was six years ago, and I think that every year at this time, it will be strange for me to look back on it.
There are many things that I have learned and that my family has learned from all of this.  I feel like I had a very different experience from my family.  I also feel like we HAD to learn from the experience.  After all, if we didn't, what was the point?  Whatever trial we have in life, we have to learn from it, or else, like I say, what is the point?
Anyway, I won't go into everything that we learned from the incident (mainly because there are too many to count!), but I will say that right now, I am just grateful to be alive.  Me and my family never would have thought six years ago that I would have a good job, a wonderful husband, and own a place to live.  Life is good!
So, today, consider your life and how blessed you are to have it too.  There are miracles that we encounter every day.  Don't forget to count them and recognize them when they happen!

  4. I remember Taylor was in Armenia on a mission, and he was at our place shortly after your accident telling us what had happened with you.
My family and I were shocked how confident he was that Heavenly Father would help you!
