NYC Day 1

We took an AMAZING trip with my parents to New York City and on a Disney Cruise. Be prepared for a long post . . .
First day of flight, we had a delay in Denver, so got to New York City super late. We found a transfer that would take us and our bags (quite the feat!) to the hotel. We got to the hotel at like 2 in the morning, tired, and then realized we were starving. Dad called me and asked if we wanted food. I was so tired that I said no, then Chris and I realized that we were starving because we hadn't eaten in forever. Our wonderful parents went to a store on the corner, and got us some much-needed nourishment.

First day of preschool!

I helped to organize a little preschool with some friends from my ward, and elsewhere in Idaho Falls. They meet once a week for an hour and a half, and there are 8 kids. Davis LOVES to have time to hang out with his friends! Here he is on the first day of preschool!

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa

We were lucky enough to have Chris's parents come visit us. We had so much fun! We stayed in Island Park for the first weekend, went to Yellowstone National Park, the Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone where we saw Singin' in the Rain, went to church in the Island Park ward (which is always a great experience!), went to the State Fair, BYU-Idaho, watched the BYU game (with all the sadness that came with it), and basically had a ton of fun. Chris was able to take a few days off of work, which was great. It was a fabulous time!

We took a picnic to Yellowstone and ate on a picnic bench, which is the way to do a meal there.

Summertime

With fall starting, I am getting sentimental about the summer. Yes, for a couple of weeks every summer, I hate our house because it does not have built in Air Conditioning. But I also love that kids go outside to play when they get bored. And that I can open the windows when it's cooler outside to get some relief. And that kids ride their bikes past our house every now and then. And that I can go outside without bundling myself up. Yes. I love summer. Here are some fun things we have done:

 Reagan got a new car seat. She loves that it's like her brother's, and that she can buckle it every time. So cool. We also love that she can sit up and see out the window!:

Reagan 18 month stats

I took Reagan to the doctor this morning. Everything is looking great! Stats:

• Weight: 22.9 pounds, 43rd percentile
• Height: 32 inches, 45th percentile
• Head: 19 inches, 91st percentile. This is exactly the same as last time. The nurse measured it twice though, so it looks like it really is exactly the same!

She is doing everything that she should according to her age measurements! The 40s seem a little odd to me, but, like Chris points out, she does have a pretty short grandma, so that might be part of the reason. But the doctor says she is still on point, so there are no worries! She is a doll and we love her so much!

Independence Day 2016

Independence Day was a fabulous weekend! My brother, Casey, and his girlfriend, Hilary came home, and we ran and ran and ran until they left! It was super fun!

First of all, I painted Reagan's toenails and fingernails. It's so fun to have a girl!

When Casey and Hilary got to town, we went to the BFG movie. Our kids spent most of the time on Grandma and Grandpa's laps, which was great for everyone involved!

We did fireworks dinner and fireworks Saturday night, then dinner together on Sunday, then rode our bikes to the parade on Monday morning. Reagan switched between Grandma, Casey, and Hilary. Davis spent the whole time with Grandpa.

We went to a barbecue at my grandparents' house, where Davis ate about a ton of pasta and covered his face in ketchup.

We went home for naps, then rode our bikes to the fireworks. We found that our table was a little too close to the river, which I think shaved years off of my life. But the kids had fun looking at the river, along with Casey and Hilary.

We rode our bikes home, and two kids fell asleep in the bike trailer. It was an exhausting but fun weekend!

We are so grateful that we live in America, and grateful for our independence as a nation!
