Chris's FIRST marathon!

He has done two half marathons, and an ultra marathon, but for the first time, Chris finally did an actual marathon! We got a hotel reservation that was basically at the finish line of the marathon, which was nice. The not nice part was that it rained the WHOLE TIME that we were there! Chris finished in 4 hours, 39 minutes, and it was raining for the entire time! However, he has a great attitude and said that he was having tons of fun!

 The day before the race, we went to eat at Union Station, which is near train tracks. Chris took Davis to go see the trains. He did not want to eat. ever. again.

As soon as he finished the race and we found him, Chris said, "Well, let's go back to the hotel." It was raining and cold, and he was soaked to the bone. He took a very long, hot shower, and we packed and loaded the car. We asked where we could find a good burger, but we couldn't get to Five Guys because of the race. So, we went to a little Italian restaurant by the hotel. It had a fish tank, which Davis thought was very cool!

I am very proud of Chris for completing the marathon, especially with such a good attitude despite the rain. Way to go!!

Provo Temple

On May 9th, my little brother, Taylor, and his wife, Katie, were sealed to the little boy they adopted from Hong Kong in the LDS Provo temple. It was a great occasion! Our wonderful friends from Orem watched our kids while we attended the temple with our family. The kids had fun, and we had a blast at the temple. We are so grateful for temples, and for the knowledge that we are sealed with our kids for time and all eternity! This experience made it seem a lot more real that we are!

 Playing with cousins completely wiped Davis out! He fell asleep within minutes of getting in the car!

Reagan at four months

We had a pediatrician appointment today! Why today, you ask? Because Fridays are Daddy's day off, and Daddy and Davis can come with us. I was worried that Davis would get super upset being at the doctor's office, but he did fine, as long as he didn't have to be looked at or take off his clothes!
And the stats are:
Weight--13 pounds 14 ounces, 41 percentile
Height-25 inches, 70 percentile
Head- 16.5 inches, 83 percentile . . . Still big, but not as big as Davis!

At four months, Reagan loves to talk to us! When she wakes up, it is usually not with crying, but with talking! She sometimes sleeps through the night, which is great for Mommy. She is very loved by all of us!

Easter and Conference

This year, Easter and Conference fell on the same weekend, which was awesome! I remembered that last year during Conference weekend, I decided that I was definitely not pregnant, after my grueling IVF treatment. But, thankfully, I was wrong. You might remember the post from last year with the big announcement that we were, indeed, having a baby. And now we have our wonderful miracle baby to prove it!
Because Conference fell on Easter, we decided to dress in our Easter outfits the day before. Here are the best pictures taken with the outfits:

 On the Friday before Easter, we decorated eggs, which was a lot of fun. Mainly, we dyed the eggs, and then Davis decided which stickers needed to go on them. Some he put on himself, and some he directed us to put on.

Saturday morning, we celebrated Easter. The Easter bunny came and gave Davis a couple of trains, which he was SO EXCITED about! The Easter bunny also hid plastic eggs with candy inside all over the house.

We watched Conference at my parents' house. Carter and Whitney and Casey came and visited too. It was a nice, relaxing weekend.

Pictures from Sunday too. Davis is kind of obsessed with trains right now, as you can tell. We brought them to Grandma and Grandpa's, and he was mesmerized during the entire morning session:

Most of all, at this time of year, we are grateful for our Savior and His Atoning sacrifice that makes it so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. We love this video that was put out by the church this year, and how it shows us what a wonderful gift it is!

Reagan's blessing day

Our sweet Reagan Marie was blessed on March 8th. We were very blessed to have both sets of our parents there, along with aunts and uncles and cousins. It was great fun!
My mom took notes on her blessing. She was blessed with health and strength, and that she would be wise and kind a stalwart. She was blessed to be an example to others, and her parents were also blessed to raise her well. She was blessed to find joy in the gospel, and those who would work with and teach her were also blessed that they would be inspired. She was also blessed to be strong in the face of adversity and to be valiant. It was a beautiful blessing, and we were very thankful to have so many members of our family participate in it.

When we got home to take pictures, Reagan KNEW that she was a princess on parade. She acted her part the whole time. It cracked us up!

So we went to our cabin for President's Day weekend (it's kind of tradition) and had my dad take some more of our family pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites!

Reagan at 2 months

We are really enjoying our little girl!  Here are her two month stats:
Weight--10 pounds, 9 ounces
Height-- 22.75 inches.  (The nurse said she was 21 inches tall, which puts her in the 4th percentile.  The doctor checked again.  Turns out that 1 3/4 inches makes a big difference when you are so little!)

It is amazing to see how much she has changed!  She can coo and make sweet noises.  She definitely tracks, and knows who her mommy is.  Her brother loves her a lot, and so do the rest of us!
